New 'Levitate' Staircase Design

Introducing the new 'Levitate' staircase, the latest creation designed for Spiral Staircase Systems by Paul Barton.

The objective of this design was to produce the most minimal staircase possible using only the essential spiral staircase elements - treads, pole, balustrade and handrail. The usual supporting brackets have been entirely removed to give the illusion of unsupported treads which defy gravity.

The first 'Levitate' staircase was recently installed in a stylish new home in Surrey. Solid European Oak treads and handrails add warmth to the toughened glass balustrade panels and the polished stainless steel centre pole. Matching timber risers ensured compliance to British Standards although these can be supplied in glass if required. Most importantly, the client was extremely happy with the new staircase and impressed with its minimal look which brought the WOW! factor to their new home.

The 'Levitate' design  can also be adapted to suit various balustrade systems.
